Work 1-on-1 with a Harvard grad GMAT instructor with 99th percentile scores and experience helping 1,000+ clients in private sessions
Private Online GMAT Tutoring Rates
US$150/hour for 2-Hour Sessions or US$175/hour for 1-Hour Sessions
My private tutoring rates are lower than what you’ll pay one of the big test prep companies for a high-scoring tutor, and there's no need to commit to a package in advance. Private tutoring rates at the “elite” GMAT companies, including Veritas Prep, where I taught for 10+ years, range from US$199/hour for a 40-hour package to US$265/hour for a 10-hour package. The elite companies require that their instructors and tutors have 99th percentile GMAT scores. (See About for my complete credentials.) The GMAT tutors at Kaplan are not required to have 99th percentile scores, and rates for Kaplan's tutors range from US$143/hour for a 35-hour package to US$187/hour for a 15-hour package.
Fast & Efficient GMAT Prep
I provide private online GMAT tutoring for clients worldwide via GoToMeeting. I use a pen-enabled laptop for fast explanations and markups, and we can access e-book copies of all the best GMAT books during tutoring sessions. By reviewing the results of your practice exams together online, we can monitor your progress and identify your weakest areas. I’ve worked successfully this way with thousands of clients located across the U.S. and in many countries around the world. GoToMeeting is easy to use and free for Simply Brilliant clients (we pay for the subscription). Its features include screen sharing, zoom, mute and chat as well as Internet audio (VOIP) and optional call-in audio with U.S. call-in telephone numbers. I have more than fifty 5-star Yelp reviews in major U.S. cities, and most are from online clients.
See Testimonials for examples of the hundreds of my tutoring clients who have achieved 700+ scores. Many have even reached the 750+ level. Recent GMAT clients have been accepted at Stanford GSB, Stanford MSx, Harvard, Wharton, London Business School, Chicago Booth, MIT Sloan, Northwestern Kellogg, UC Berkeley Haas, Columbia, Dartmouth Tuck, NYU Stern, Michigan Ross, UVA Darden, Yale SOM, Duke Fuqua, UCLA Anderson, Indian Institute of Management, Cornell Johnson, Carnegie Mellon Tepper, INSEAD, HEC Paris, UT McCombs, UNC Kenan-Flagler, Emory Goizueta, Indiana Kelley, Georgetown McDonough, Notre Dame Mendoza, Washington Foster, Vanderbilt Owen, Arizona State Carey, USC Marshall, UC Davis, UC Irvine Merage, Tulane Freeman, Bentley McCallum, Boston College Carroll, Boston University Questrom and other top business schools.
Personalized GMAT Tutoring
Each 1-on-1 GMAT tutoring session is customized to meet your needs. We will start by analyzing your practice exams, and if you have taken the exam before, we will also review your most recent Enhanced Score Report, which is available for $30 in your MBA.com account. Then by leveraging Simply Brilliant's modular GMAT curriculum, we can either take a comprehensive or targeted approach. A comprehensive approach will cover every topic from A to Z, leaving no stone unturned, and usually requires 12 or more 2-hour sessions. A targeted approach will continually focus on improving your weakest areas. The approach that's best for you will depend on your goals, time and budget. For example, some clients with scores in the low 700’s raised their scores to 750+ by opting for the comprehensive approach.
